Delicious, creative dishes made from first-class ingredients, attentive and professional service, comfortable surroundings and an excellent wine list are all reasons why, if you come to Malaga, you should make room for Adolfo. El
Higuerón Costa del Sol Motorway exit 217 Tel: 952 119 163 |
Don't go out of your way to visit El Higuerón if you are staying/living in Malaga, because you have plenty other options open to you. But for the many northern Europeans who find themselves driving down the Costa del Sol Motorway, El Higueron is definitely worth a stop. We found it almost by accident, and felt fully fed and watered after just half an hour there. Big restaurant and long bar, food is excellent and service is very quick. Eat at the bar for cheaper prices and quicker service if you are breaking a journey. Lovely views of Malaga's coast |
La
Meridiana Camino de la Cruz s/n Marbella-Puerto Banus Tel: 952 776 190 |
One of the most prestigious restaurants in Marbella and, if you want to feel part of Spain's jet set for an evening (in the Summer months), then this is the place for you. On the other hand, there are lots of other places offering better food, in nicer surroundings and at much lower prices. So unless you are a sticker for half-famous Spaniards, go somewhere else. We found it overcroweded and overpriced. |
Restaurante
Santiago Pº Maritimo , 5 Marbella Tel: 952 770 078 |
On the other hand, this restaurant, also one of the best known restaurants in Marbella, visited by well known faces from Spanish social and political circles in the Summer, is well worth a visit. Santiago is a legend in Marbella. From a "humble family", he worked in Madrid and in London's Savoy before returning to Marbella and opening a beach cafe in the 1950s. He opened the first Santiago Restaurant in 1973, and since then has gone from strength to strength. Excellent food, wonderful surroundings, professional service and ok prices. |
