Ama Lur is a restaurant influenced by Basque
culture with some Mediterranean touches and has been one of Ibiza's top places
to eat out for a while. It is just 9 kms from Ibiza town and is set in a country
house with a large terrace for eating outside in the summer months. However it
isn't a Basque restaurant despite its Basque name.
This where Ibiza's jet set like to dine, something reflected in its high prices.
Recommended dishes include mozzarella soup with tomato and squid and seabass with almonds on pistachio sauce. The homemade desserts are definitely recommended as well as the daily specialities.
Good wine list and excellent service.
