Madrid, as any European capital city, has a large selection of hotels and it can be very difficult to find what you are looking for. We'll try to make it easier for you to find what you need, be it one of Madrid's luxury hotels or a more modest hotel offering quality accommodation at a low price.

As is the case with our guide to Paradors in Spain, we only review hotels in Madrid that we have actually stayed in, and for this reason, our guide lacks in length what it gains in objectiveness, facts and honest reviews of service. We have started with Madrid's luxury hotels, but will go on to include other hotels offering quality accommodation at lower prices. Click on the hotel name to read our review. • Chinchon Parador, the parador in Chinchon is set in the building ofan impressive seventeenth century convent in a pretty village just 30 miles away from Madrid.
• Toledo Parador, Toledo is an incredibly amazing city, and the modern parador in Toledo overlooks it from a privileged position.
• Tordesillas Parador, a bit further out but still near enough Madrid to stay on your way there or back. Good value.
• Hotel Antiguo Convento de Boadilla del Monte, (Boadilla del Monte), a hotel set in a convent, similar to a parador but more expensive and, in our opinion, not as reliable. Just 20 minutes drive from the center of Madrid (review in Spanish
