A Contrato de Arrendamiento in Spanish refers to the contract you sign for
a rented property in Spain.
In a letting/rental contract one party (the landlord
or letting agent) agrees to let the use of a property for a specific length of
time and at an agreed price to another (the tenant).
The letting of urban buildings
for housing or other purposes is regulated by the Spanish Law for Urban Lettings.

It may also contain details of the deposit (fianza) paid by the tenant to the property owner or letting agent.
The
current law for Urban Lettings provides for the annulment of any clauses that
modify unfairly the norms set by this law.
