Uso del presente continuo en inglés para formar futuro

Se usan varios tiempos verbales para hablar del futuro en inglés (ver el futuro con going to en inglés y el futuro con will. Aqui vamos a ver como se usa el presente continuo para hablar del futuro. Despues hay un ejercicio para practicarlo.

Se usa el presente continuo para hablar de acciones en progreso en el momento pero también para hablar sobre el futuro planificado.

Ejemplos:
I am having lunch with a friend tomorrow.
I am visiting Paris next week.
We are having a party this weekend.

Tips (consejos)

Se usa will para hacer predicciones ó expresar decisiones espontaneas no se puede usar para hablar de planes

La diferecncia entre usar el futuro con going to ó el futuro con el presente continuo es que going to solo expresa intenciones mientras el presente continuo expresa planes fijos.

El futuro en inglés con 'will'

Se usan varios tiempos verbales para expresar el futuro en inglés - ver el futuro con 'going to'
Aqui vamos a ver el futuro con el verbo auxilliar 'will'. Despues hay un ejercicio con respuestas para practicarlo.

Forma:

Afirmativo
I will = I'll
You will = You'll
He/She/it will = He'll/She'll/It'll
We will = We'll
They will = They'll

Negativo
I will not = I won't
You will not = You won't
He/She/It will not = He won´t/She won't/It won't
We will not = We won´t
They will not = They won't

(se usa la forma contraida cuando se habla ó escribe en situaciones informales)

Se usa will ó won´t para:

Hacer predicciones
ejemplo - Tomorrow it will be sunny (mañana hara sol).
Cuando es una decisión espontanea
ejemplo - I think I´ll go out this evening (saldré esta noche).
Para prometer algo
ejemplo I´ll visit you next week (Te visitare la semana que viene).
Para ofrecer ayuda
ejemplo I´ll help you (Te llevare los libros)
Para pedir que alguien haga algo
ejemplo Will you collect my suit from the drycleaner´s please? (Recogeras mi traje de la tintorería?)

Tambien se usa con las expresiones:

I´m sure + sujeto + will ejemplo I´m sure you'll pass the test
(estoy segura de que aprobaras)

I expect + sujeto + will ejemplo I expect he'll arrive late
(creo que llegara tarde)

Sujeto + will + probably ejemplo I'll probably drive there
(Yo probablemente iré en coche)

I think + sujeto + will ejemplo I think I'll stay in and watch tv this evening (creo que me quedaré en casa y veré la tele esta noche)

Business English - emails

Un email es la una forma de comunicación mas directa y informal. Es importante incluir todo la información necesaria en frases claras y sencillas. No es aconsejable usar el humor en los business emails excepto si tienes mucha confianza con quien te comunicas !Especialmente si estas escribiendo en una idioma extranjera! (el sentido de humor es diferente en cada pais)

Aqui hay unos consejos y frases utiles para escribir 'business emails' en inglés.

Para el saludo:

Frases para empezar:

Frases para acabar:

El Futuro en inglés con 'going to'

Se usa 'going to' para hablar del futuro en inglés cuando quieres espresar un plan ó una intención.

Por ejemplo: Tomorrow, I´m going to visit my aunt. Mañana voy a visitar mi tía.

Tambien se usa 'going to' cuando ves que algo va a pasar.

Por ejemplo: Look at the sky. It´s going to rain! Mira el cielo. Va a llover.

La estructura:

afirmativo - sujeto + verbo to be + going to + going to + verbo infintivo
negativo - sujeto + negativo del verbo to be + going to + verbo infinitivo
pregunta - verbo to be + going to + verbo infinitivo

Verbo to be:

I am I´m not
You are You aren´t
He/she/it is He/she/it isn´t
We are We aren´t
They are They aren´t

Tips (consejos):

Normalmente se usa el presente continuo para el futuro con el verbo go (ir).
ejemplo: I´m going to the cinema (voy al cine) es corecta y mas natural que decir I´m going to go to the cinema.

Lo mismo se aplica al verbo come (venir)
ejemplo: Peter is coming to visit tomorrow no Peter is going to come to visit tomorrow.
