Expresión - the...the + adjetivo comparativo...

Se usa este tipo de expresión cuando hay una relación entre dos cosas.

Ejemplo
The faster you drive the sooner you will arrive. Cuanto más rapido conduces antes llegarás. (When you arrive depends on how fast you drive).

Se forma: the + adjetivo comparativo ó adverbio + sujeto + verbo *+ the + adjetivo comparativo ó adverbio + sujeto + verbo

*El verbo tiene que ser el futuro simple (con will).
*Si es el verbo to be es en el presente simple.
* Si es el verbo can va con el infinitivo.

Ejemplo

The less you eat the thinner you will get. Cuanto menos comes mas delgado serás.
The more I practice the piano the better I can play. Cuanto mas practico el piano mejor toco.

A veces no hace falta incluir el verbo (normalmente con el verbo to be).

Ejemplo
The more expensive the restaurant (is) the better the service (is). Cuanto más caro el restaurante mejor el servicio.
