Still y Yet

Se usa still (todavia) para decir que una accion sigue.

Se pone still antes del verbo

Ejemplo:
He still works in a bank. Trabaja en un banco todavia.

Pero despues del verbo to be

Ejemplo:
I am still waiting for a reply to my letter. Estoy esperando una respuesta a mi carta todavia.

Con el verbo have – la posicion de la palabra still cambia si usas have or have got

Ejemplos:
I still have your address. Tengo tu dirrecion todavia.
I have still got your address.

En Preguntas.

Se pone despues del sujeto y antes del verbo:

Ejemplo:
Do you still work in a shop? Trabajas en una tienda todavia?

Con el verbo to be se pone despues del sujeto.

Are they still friends? Son amigos todavia?

Se usa yet para decir si algo ha pasado ya o no ha pasado.

Ejemplos:
Have you finished yet? Has terminado todavia?
I haven’t finished yet. Todavia no he terminado.

Se puede usar still en frases negativos para da mas enfasis.

Compara:
I haven’t finished reading the book yet. No he terminado de leer el libro todavia.
I still haven’t finished reading the book. Aun no he terminado de leer el libro.
